Appointments are necessary for all GP, nurse practitioner and clinic appointments. Patients can call our centralised appointment line on 01443 490366 irrespective of which branch they attend or whether or not that branch is open at that time.
Patients can also call into their regular branch surgery to make an appointment with the receptionist. Patients should ideally attend the surgery where their records are held although they can be seen at an alternative branch should they choose. If you should wish to change the surgery you attend please speak to a receptionist who can arrange this for you.
These should be for medication reviews, chronic disease management and non-urgent problems. These can be booked by phone or at the desk of the branch. There are morning and afternoon appointments. During busy periods the wait for a non-urgent appointment may be up to 2 weeks.
There is also a facility via the telephone of booking appointment which is an automated system which is quicker than waiting for a member of staff to become available to book appointment, please follow the instructions on the telephone until the end to confirm booking.
These appointments are for emergencies only. They are allocated on the day and can only be booked by phone as we may be able to offer patients an appointment in another branch. Patients should therefore consider if they can arrange transport if needed when making an appointment.
Appointments are available morning and afternoon but please phone for these appointments as early as possible in order to be given the best available appointment. The phone lines open at 08:30.
We offer a telephone advice service with either the on call doctor or the doctor may ring you back after surgery. This is for requests that the receptionist feel may not need an appointment. Please mention to the receptionist if you feel your query may be better addressed by phone.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
Online booking Appointment
Patients are able to book appointments and request repeat medication using an online facility known as My Health Online. Please speak with a member of staff if you are interested in this service as you will need to complete a simple registration form and you may be asked to provide ID.
